What is a .csv file?

CSV is a file format that allows you to transfer large amounts of data from one data source such as a spreadsheet to another, such as a software application. CSV stands for Comma-separated Values.

Why would you use the .csv upload option?

Using the CSV upload option will allow you to import large lists of candidate email addresses at one time.

Using a .csv file

What to include

When creating your .csv file:

  • Only include the email addresses of the candidates you wish to invite to take an assessment.

  • Put the email addresses in the first column if you are generating your CSV from a spreadsheet.

  • Any other data in the spreadsheet will be ignored or cause the file upload to fail.

Where to get a .CSV

  • Select the file from Emmersions download CSV tool

  • Once the file has been uploaded the email addresses will appear on screen.
